Soul Family

April 3, 2009

I was standing just now, on my balcony. Thinking, and waiting. The quarter moon is very silver and misty. just now. It’s very quiet where I live. It’s late too.

I am considering the nature of Faith and Luck~and the bridge between the two. I was reminded of when you plant a bulb or a seed, and cover it in soil, give it water and a stone or two, and voila, if you just…wait…………………with nature…and have luck…..ta da.

It’s life.

Same thing happens when you put your key in the lock.  When you call to hear a friendly voice. There it is again, Faith. and Luck.

Waiting brings out the best and the worst in humans. It indicates our lack of control, our fatalistic need for wild abandon, and can push us to take matters into our own hands, force us to drop the poker face and get on the damn horse and RIDE.

In my case? Tonight? on my balcony? Absolute symphonies are buffeting my air space. Tiny golden ribbons of joy rain around my head, blanketing my heart. Though I wait, though I trust in my prayer and luck, I know that it won’t last, the waiting. I surrender to a force larger than myself, to an instinct as old as turtles, and even older, to a life force that includes and encompasses a concept so pure, so tangible I could walk across, so flexible I could spring-board-dive from~

Family. Soul Family.

I cherish this part. This calm dark night. This slippery evening of illusion. Maybe I know that my life is about to change, forever. Maybe I am ready, and maybe not. What difference does it make? Goddess only knows, that the waiting is nearly over.
